Thandel is a Telugu romantic action thriller movie directed by
Chandoo Mondeti. The movie casts Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the
main lead roles along with Prakash Belawadi, Rao Ramesh, Karunakaran,
Babloo Prithiveeraj, Kalpa Latha, Kalyani Natarajan, Parvateesam, Mahesh
Achanta, and many others have seen in supporting roles. The music was
composed by Devi Sri Prasad while the cinematography was done by Shamdat
Sainudeen and it is edited by Naveen Nooli. The film is produced by
Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts banner.
Story Line
Raju (Naga Chaitanya) and Satya (Sai Pallavi) belong to a fishing
community and have been in love since childhood. Every year, Raju, along
with his fellow villagers, sets out on a fishing expedition for several
months. During this time, Satya eagerly waits for him, longing for his
return and deeply yearning for his love.
However, during one such expedition, a massive storm strikes, and Raju's
team unintentionally crosses the Indian maritime border, drifting into
Pakistani waters. Meanwhile, believing she has lost Raju forever, Satya
reluctantly agrees to marry another man.
How did Raju and Satya’s love story unfold? Why did Raju break the
promise he made to Satya? What was the promise, and what forced him to
go against it? How did Satya react to Raju’s betrayal? What challenges
did Raju and his team face after being captured by Pakistani
authorities? As the leader (Tandel) of the group, what sacrifices did
Raju make for the 22 fishermen who were with him? Even after receiving
permission for release, why couldn’t Raju and his team return home? How
did Raju react upon learning about Satya’s wedding? Under what
conditions was Raju’s team finally freed from the Pakistani prison? And
